Go to the settings icon on your device> then choose general> about > You should find what Ipad you have as well as the generation of IPad next to model name . I found my IPad’s generation and what Ipad I have following these steps. You will see a page that looks like screenshot below following the same steps.
The settings Icon is usually on the first page of your device. But it looks like the gear Icon seen in the screenshot.
You may have to scroll down on the left panel to find general tab, but it may be already open.
Then click the about tab located at the very top of the general settings page.
You should then see your current device model as well as what generation it is next to Model Name. This is the third tab from the top of the page.
This guide will work to find the generation or model on any apple Ipad.
If you wanted to find the complete list of the trade in value for each and every Ipad. You will find my list here. It would cover the current trade in value without having to go through apple first. It would give you more information on wether or not it would be worth it to sell or to trade in your device.
If you wanted to see the resell value for your IPad you can find that here as well. This guide will cover the different ways that you could resell your Ipad to get the most money from it. I would also give you tips on using different platforms for doing so.
I also have a buyers guide here for each of the current and previous IPads available for 2021. The purpose of this guide is to help you decide if it might be worth it to upgrade from your current device or would it be worth it to keep what currently have.
I also have a Apple Pencil guide here to make sure you don’t make the wrong choice when buying a Apple Pencil.
As Always thank you for reading.
